The First Responders Build is a partnership between Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the Winston-Salem Police Department, and the Winston-Salem Fire Department to help sponsor and build a safe and affordable home for a local family.  

First Responders protect our community every day, both on and off the clock. And they know better than most how important affordable housing is to ensure a thriving, safe and inclusive community for all. Yet 1 in 3 families in Forsyth County spends more than half their income on housing – leaving little for other necessities like groceries, healthcare, and education. 

Habitat Forsyth invites you to join our local first responders in their efforts to raise vital funds needed to ensure everyone in our community has a place to call home. All funds received will go directly towards construction of a new home for a local family in need.
