YEP! Youth Financial Career Prep Camp

Free, half- day, camp.  
Tuesday, April 4th – Thursday April 6th 9am-12pm

Providing age-appropriate, financially based activities that include basic concepts of business and economics.
For youth ages: 12 – 17. Lunch is free and provided.

Daily Drop-off/Sign-In: 8:30am – 9am at Habitat Forsyth Housing Education Campus

Tuesday 4/4: Youth will participate in an active workshop that will cover how to apply for a job, work on writing example resumes, and practice interviewing skills needed to land their dream job.

Wednesday 4/5: Pinnacle Bank will lead our youth this day in a workshop around banking. This will link to Monday’s workshop by applying how to manage the money they make from their employment/career. Afterwards, youth will take part in an activity that teaches how to budget their money for everyday household items

Thursday 4/6: On our last day, youth will take part in our “Adult for a Day” workshop. Tying the previous days together,  Youth will gain awareness of the need to save money and understand that additional education is the key to making more money through an interactive budget/credit score simulation. By the end of camp, they will increase their financial knowledge of credit and improve their personal money management skills now and in the future.

Those who participate in all 3 days will be able to join us for a group outing to a Winston Salem Dash Baseball game on April 25th.
