About Urban St.
The Urban Street Townhome build is Habitat’s newest format for creating affordable housing in Forsyth County. Created in partnership with the City of Winston-Salem and local Builders and General Contractors, these homes are perfect for those who do not need a yard or don’t want the hassle of keeping up with exterior maintenance.
These townhomes are a long term investment offered to qualified individuals and families that meet Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County’s guidelines, including:
- Mortgage term of 30 years
- Mortgage payments are based on affordability and will not Exceed 30% of monthly gross income
- Buyers must qualify for and complete Habitat’s Homeowner in Progress program
- Buyers must save $4,000 for emergencies
- Household income must fall under 80% of AMI

Floorplans
The site will be comprised of 14 townhome units. Each with a similar floorplan consisting of:
- 2 stories
- 1338 Square Feet
- 3 Bedrooms
- 2 full Baths
- 1 half Bath
Interiors
These townhomes feature a versatile floorplan featuring 1,338 square feet, offering 3 Bedrooms and 2.5 Bathrooms to accommodate diverse family needs. This floorplan provides ample space for comfortable living, catering to smaller or larger families alike.
On the First Floor, you’ll find an open great room, kitchen, and dining nook with a half bath attached. The Second Floor offers a Primary Suite with full bathroom, two additional bedrooms, an additional full bathroom, as well as space for laundry units.
