The new Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Kernersville will hold a grand opening celebration on Saturday, January 9. The store is located at 619 N. Main St. in the Northwood Plaza Shopping Center in Kernersville.

A ribbon cutting and remarks by Mayor Dawn Morgan and other town officials will take place at 9 a.m., followed by refreshments and special sales throughout the day until 5 p.m.

Like Habitat’s main ReStore on Coliseum Drive in Winston-Salem, the Kernersville ReStore accepts and sells donations of gently used household items including appliances, furniture, home décor and building supplies.  Profits from the stores go toward supporting Habitat’s mission of providing local working families the opportunity to purchase safe, affordable housing. To arrange for free pick-up of donated items, call 893-8494.
