The Hammerbird 5K route travels through the Boston-Thurmond neighborhood, where Habitat has built, renovated or repaired more than 200 homes. This unique 5K takes runners and walkers through an actual Habitat for Humanity neighborhood, past more than 80 houses that Habitat has built, remodeled or repaired in the Boston-Thurmond neighborhood. Prizes are hand made by Habitat volunteers, and Habitat homeowners themselves volunteer, participate, and cheer on the participants.
