Replacing a Light Fixture

A class in our expanded Basic Home Maintenance Curriculum. This entire curriculum is designed to provide hands-on application for every learner. Program incentives (household tools) are awarded with each class.

Description: Identify appropriate tools needed for the job at hand, obtain more electrical knowledge and safety measures, better understand the wiring color scheme, and learn the steps involved in changing a light fixture.

Audience:  Priority given to Habitat homeowners or homeowners in the Boston Thurmond and Bowen/Dreamland Park neighborhoods, but this program is open to any interested person in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County area. Women are encouraged to attend.

Note: The $10 fee (to cover class materials) can be paid in advance or just prior to the class start. We will accept cash, check, credit card or money order.
